Bone Season Advocate_blogbanner468X60.jpg

Song Rising_3D.jpg

I don’t know about you guys, but I am crazy-excited for The Song Rising to come out next March. So I was extremely happy to be selected as an advocate for the series, AND guess what?!

I get to share some exclusive content with you all!!!!!! SO today I bring you the prelude to the next installment of The Bone Season, and I can’t wait for you all to read it!*

*Hint hint- this is where you click on one of the links below to find out what all the fuss is about.

What did you think?? Was that what you expected? *squeeee!!!*

I’m actually just in shock!! In a way it makes complete sense, but holy crap!! Now I am even more excited to dive into The Song Rising as soon as I can.

I’d actually put off reading it until now, and I am honestly in shock.. maybe I should do a reread of The Mime Order, starting tonight.. I NEED to be back in this world..

Btw, have you seen the announcements about the signed collectors editions for the rest of the series?

I am really happy that we get to see these covers continue (even though my bank account is going to cry, as I need to buy TBS and TMO in preeetty hardcover too).

IF you haven’t checked out the first book in this series yet, The Bone Season…then WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!

This series has action, character development, clever, intricate world-building AND all-round EPIC-NESS!

Okay…yes…I am an advocate for the series now. But I ONLY became an advocate after falling HEAD-OVER-HEELS IN LOVE with the story in the first place.

I would really recommend this series for two main reasons:

  • It is such an original story with incredible characters and world-building.
  • Have you met Samantha Shannon??? She is amazing in every way.. so I will always support her, but the best thing is that she ALWAYS speaks her mind and doesn’t allow anyone to push her around! So go check her out @say_shannon on Twitter

Anyways, I’ll catch you all next time,

Waiting on Wednesday: Nevernight

New WoW

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we are highly anticipating. This weeks pre-publication “can’t-wait-to-read” selection is:

Nevernight (The Nevernight Chronicle #1)

Author: Jay Kristoff

Publisher: Harper Voyager

Expected Publication Date: 11th August 2016

29845906.jpgSynopsis from GoodReads:

Destined to destroy empires, Mia Covere is only ten years old when she is given her first lesson in death.

Six years later, the child raised in shadows takes her first steps towards keeping the promise she made on the day that she lost everything.

But the chance to strike against such powerful enemies will be fleeting, so if she is to have her revenge, Mia must become a weapon without equal. She must prove herself against the deadliest of friends and enemies, and survive the tutelage of murderers, liars and demons at the heart of a murder cult.

The Red Church is no Hogwarts, but Mia is no ordinary student.

The shadows love her. And they drink her fear.

So why am I so excited for this release?

  1. It’s Jay Kristoff, and I will always support him! (Plus, he’s an Aussie!!)
  2. I’ve heard so many AMAZING things about this book!
  3.  It’s been dubbed as Hogwarts, but with way more violence and steamy scenes 😉
  4. I’m soooo in the mood for a dark fantasy!
  5.  Both the US and UK covers are incredibly well designed.

#ARCAugust TBR 2016

Hey booklovers!

I decided to join in for #ARCAugust 2016, so I really wanted to share my TBR with you all. #ARCAugust is run by Read. Sleep. Repeat, and you can check out the sign-up post here.

The goal of #ARCAugust is to read and review ARCs, whether they are from NetGalley, friends or publishers. Due to my steadily growing pile of ARCs I decided that I NEEDED to join in.

So, without further ado, here is my TBR:

NetGalley ARCs

ARCs from Publishers/Authors

I’m pretty confident that I’ll be able to get through these, and will be posting reviews here once I’ve read them.

Let me know what you’re reading this August…have you joined in for #ARCAugust?
